Senior Checklist – Before your session

  1. Research and decide generally what you would like for your Senior Session.  Things to consider include:

·        How many outfits would you like to be photographed in?

·        Would you like your session held in the studio, outside, on location, or a mixture.

·        Do you want to include any props like sports paraphernalia, a car or truck, pet, artwork, musical instrument, friend, etc?

·        Remember, a basic session includes three outfits or prop changes.  Additional outfits can be added for $15 each.

·        Decisions about your enlargement order do not need to be made until after your session, but it is often helpful to have a general idea of what you would like (sizes, black & white, etc.).

  1. Set up an appointment for your Senior Session.  Plan on your session taking an hour and a half, but be prepared for it to take even longer.

  2. Make your final decisions regarding clothing, hairstyles, jewelry, props, etc.  If you are debating between several outfits or props, feel free to bring all of your options to your session and we will work with you on the final decision.  If you have specific ideas for your session, bring in samples or notes so that you can effectively communicate your ideas.

  3. Arrive for your session at your scheduled time.  If you are planning some of your session for outdoors and are concerned about the weather, feel free to call and discuss it with us.  We would prefer to reschedule your whole appointment for a time that the weather is cooperating rather than split your session into two days.  Remember, overcast skies or the threat of rain often provides the best lighting for portraiture.  Don’t ask to be rescheduled just because the day is not sunny and bright.

  4. Actively participate in your session by offering ideas and suggestions.  If you don’t have any specific ideas, that’s fine.  We will work with you.  If you have ideas about how you would like your images to look, be sure to communicate them.

  5. All Senior Sessions include Online Proofing.  The Online Preview Gallery allows you to see all of the images created in your session.  This may be over one hundred images.  Being able to see all of your images means that you make the choices about what expressions and poses you like rather than us trying to guess based on our brief conversations.  If you absolutely have no access to the internet, please discuss with us what other options are available.

  6. Payment for your session is due at the end of your session.
